Producer/Account Executive, Private Client Group

Summary:

The Private Client Group Personal Lines Producer works independently and with referral sources to identify and call upon affluent prospects in need of sophisticated personal insurance products and risk management solutions. In addition to new business generation, this position will work closely with management to define and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy of this department. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within a growing practice group.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects for personal insurance products and services from referral sources and existing clients
  • Establish and maintain a strong network of referral sources and centers of influence
  • Work with management to continually improve our customer service offering through unique value added services
  • Provide proactive risk management advice to current clients
  • Participate with support staff in stewardship meetings where appropriate
  • Identify and close potential cross-sell opportunities
  • When needed be involved with more complicated claims situations
  • Work with support team to resolve client issues

  • Ability to use technology to manage workflow and communicate effectively
  • Excellent documentation
  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing meeting deadlines and juggling multiple assignments
  • Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Solid proficiency in math for use in Excel required
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures and rules contained in the Employee Handbook
  • Ability to maintain professional and productive relationships with other staff, working closely with other departments where applicable

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or another relevant discipline required
  • Must demonstrate successful track record of persuading/influencing others within the private client industry ideally in an insurance brokerage or other financial services based organization
  • Technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products and the unique needs of Private Client/High Net Worth clientele required
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), interpersonal, networking, relationship building, problem solving and decision making skills required

Producer/Account Executive, Business, Employee Benefits

Summary:

Sell insurance, serve existing accounts and develop new business accounts in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the President and department managers.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with sales projections.
  • Actively generate new leads through community activities, association meetings and cold calls. Obtain expiration dates and other information to turn leads into prospects and clients
  • Schedule and meet regularly with prospects and clients at their place of business to deliver service and to make sales presentations
  • Submit data on potential accounts and renewals to support personnel for processing, present proposals to prospects and clients, close sale and deliver policies
  • Handle complex processing and claim situations with client and/or company personnel
  • Refer commercial insurance leads to appropriate Producer
  • Attend sales meetings as required
  • Promote agency and insurance industry in the community
  • Participate in company and agency sales contests
  • Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending company training meetings on new products
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the President or Employee Benefits Manager.
  • Pursue a program for personal and professional development

  • This job requires work to be performed out of the office most of the time and requires willingness and ability to travel extensively and to attend agent’s conventions and other industry meetings if so instructed

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Technical education helpful and willingness to continue education essential
  • Successful sales record either in insurance industry or other industry helpful
  • Holds required and appropriate Producer’s license
