Cheryl A. Savard, MBA, Vice President, Administrative Director of Fred C. Church Insurance, recently received the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute.  The Professional in Human Resources certification class (a 36-hour program) was held at Merrimack College in cooperation with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM®).  Following the course, a candidate must pass a four-hour exam consisting of six functional areas of Human Resources:  Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Total Rewards, Employee & Labor Relations and Risk Management.  (January 2011)
